After thinking about how other people fight, a sudden thought occurred to me.

“Ah, hold on a second.”

I immediately edited the post I had just uploaded.

I immediately edited the post.

I had clearly said that I wouldn't let anyone know I was going to Koruntum last time.

Since I was using [Accelerated Thought], all of this happened in a very short amount of time.

It was to the point where no one would have noticed unless they were refreshing the forum every second.

You could say it was a very fast speed.

With that thought in mind, I deployed one more technique.

It was a technique that erased my presence, and it was quite convenient.

It wasn't as difficult as the invisibility technique, and it was cost-effective.

“Hmm.”

I sat there quietly and watched how the others were fighting.

I hadn't seen many adventurers fight monsters, so I thought it would be a good idea to learn this time.

So, I sat still and watched as the adventurers prepared.

“Um? I think something’s coming this way.”

At those words, the person with seemingly good eyesight focused their gaze in the direction the troll was running and shouted.

“Troll coming–!!”

I was watching the scene.

From what I saw on the carriage ride here, the other people, excluding me, seemed to know each other as they were all talking.

If his comrade caused a scene with the troll, he would have to take responsibility for it.

And I didn’t think they wouldn’t be able to handle just two trolls when they were going to Koruntum.

Well… If it gets really dangerous, I can always step in.

“Mage…? What the, mage. Where’d he go?!”

“Damn it, that bastard ran away!!”

I hadn’t run away yet, so I wanted to refute, but I was hiding my presence, so I just sat there and watched.

Clang-!

The man who had collapsed after being hit by me yesterday struck his shield hard and shouted in a tremendous voice.

“I’ll block them, so attack from behind and inflict as much damage as you can–!!”

Judging from the way he spoke, he seemed to be the leader.

Looking at the eyes of the people around him, they were looking at him with great trust.

With that kind of personality, why did he act like that to me?

I couldn’t understand it.

With that thought in mind, I watched the others fight.

The muscular man, who was over 6’5” tall, began to defend himself with his shield in front of the troll.

The troll’s heavy fist struck the man’s shield, and the shield crumpled.

However, the other adventurers did not miss that opportunity.

They began to fight using all sorts of weapons they had.

Some drew daggers, and some fought using scrolls they had obtained from who knows where.

Fwoosh-!

It was a scroll containing quite high-level magic.

I was a little impressed.

It would take time to get a scroll like that.

Seeing them fighting so hard, I thought I should help them a little.

So, I cast a magic spell.

[Haste]

The movement speed of everyone on the battlefield increased dramatically.

Maybe that was why.

Attacks that would have been impossible to avoid were avoided, and attacks that would have been impossible to land were now hitting their mark.

The flow of attacks was clearly faster than before.

Even the trolls were out of sorts.

No matter how strong a troll is, there were seven adventurers gathered here, excluding myself.

Therefore, subjugating the trolls was progressing more smoothly than expected.

There must be a few Gold Plate Rank adventurers here.

I kept the sight of them smoothly subjugating the trolls in my mind.

It seemed like there would be a way to use it in the future.

As I sat there watching, the troll started to act strangely.

Kkk…!

The troll let out its characteristic sound and suddenly began swinging its fists at an incredible speed.

Perhaps because it was a variant troll, the speed of its fists was incredibly fast.

It was to the point where even my eyes, enhanced with dynamic vision, could barely keep up.

‘..There’s no way anyone’s getting hit by those punches, right?’

However, because it was a last-ditch effort, the punches were incredibly indiscriminate.

Meaning, they lacked accuracy.

Any adventurer worth their salt should be able to dodge them.

‘Dontas suddenly comes to mind…’

The dwarf who always dodged punches thrown with open eyes, but always got hit by punches thrown blindly.

This situation reminded me of Dontas.

And at that moment.

Boooom-!

An earsplitting boom resonated as a muscular man, over 2 meters tall and guarding the front line, was sent flying, his lower body obliterated.

“Aaaargh!!”

I didn’t particularly enjoy watching others get hurt.

I wasn’t a sadist.

What reason did I have to watch other people get hurt?

I didn’t intervene in the situation just now because I calculated that no one would get hit by those blind punches.

I even cast [Haste] on them.

But to think his lower half would be blown off like that…

‘Ah, I should finish this.’

Learning the adventurers’ fighting style was quite helpful, but I thought it was time to stop.

If I delayed any longer, they might all die.

So, I cast my spells.

[Dark Spear]

[Fire Spear]

[Lightning Chain]

I prepared to fire, weaving three spells simultaneously.

And a moment later.

I poured mana into the spell formation.

The dark spear and the spear of flames, intertwined with chains of lightning, pierced through the bellies of the two trolls.

At the same time, the trolls collapsed on the spot.

I thought about using [Tsar Bomba], the magic I learned last time, but since that could affect others, I used the magic I did just now.

And a moment later.

“Shit, get the potions!!”

“Y-Yes, sir!!!”

Despite my sudden appearance, the other adventurers simply approached the collapsed muscular adventurer to treat him.

‘Hmm, should I heal him or not?’

If I healed him, he would recover immediately, but I couldn’t predict how the muscular adventurer would react to me.

It was true that I defeated the trolls, but it was also true that I stood by and watched.

That’s what I thought, but in the end, there was only one answer.

I couldn’t just leave a man to die.

If it were a situation where I couldn’t save him, then maybe, but I couldn’t just stand by and watch him die when I could save him.

So, I approached the collapsed muscular adventurer.

Then, the surrounding people pointed their weapons at me and warned me.

“Back off, mage. We appreciate you taking care of the trolls, but we won’t forgive you if you lay a hand on our brother now.”

Seeing him talk like that made me sigh a little.

I came here to help.

But when I thought about it from their perspective, I could understand their attitude.

So, I decided to explain it to them kindly.

“I’m here to heal him, so please step aside.”

I spoke with all sincerity.

Then-

“Hmph, what nonsense. How can we believe that?”

“Maybe because I went a little overboard earlier?”

When I picked a fight with him earlier, I did go a little overboard.

I could have easily subdued him with magic, but I deliberately used force.

He must have some internal injuries.

So, I thought it was only right for me to heal him.

Thinking that, I stared at the others-

“...Tsk.”

They all lowered their weapons and made way.

And then they stared at me.

As if they would attack me if I did anything strange.

Honestly, from my point of view, it was ridiculous, but their loyalty to their comrade seemed genuine.

That’s what made it even more amazing.

What in the world did this muscular man do to make them all trust and follow him like this?

‘How strange.’

With that thought in mind, I used my magic.

First, to treat someone, I needed to know their body structure.

So, I used [Lightning Strike].

[Lightning Strike]

Bzzt-!

I used a very weak [Lightning Strike] to figure out his body structure.

And then I used Heal.

[Heal]

Fwoosh-

This was a bit difficult even for me.

It was my first time healing someone whose lower half had been blown off.

A cold sweat naturally broke out.

You could say I was going out of my way to heal a complete stranger, but it was for my own personal satisfaction.

I felt a bit uncomfortable just walking away after seeing someone injured.

That's why I was using [Heal] right now.

How long had I been using [Heal]?

“Oh-ho..!!”

His lower half gradually began to regenerate.

It was possible because his heart hadn't stopped yet.

If it had been his upper body that was blown off instead of his lower body, I wouldn't have been able to heal him like this.

How much time had passed?

Finally, the regeneration of his lower body was complete.

And during that time, the mouth of the muscular man, who had been silent, gradually opened.

And then the man uttered a single word.

“...Thank you.”
